  • Healing Through Somatic Movement Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm The Center. Sound, Mind, Body 28 E 6th Street 21701

Somatic movement gently brings us back in touch with our bodies by providing a safe and supportive space to grow the mind and body connection. By recognizing the physical sensations we experience we can gain tolerance and safety in the body. It is intended to be used as a tool for finding relief from the physical and mental discomfort trauma survivors experience. Participants gain trust and safety in their bodies by combining multiple movement modalities and dual awareness techniques to release stored trauma. Somatic movement helps to increase body awareness and decrease disembodiment.
